Simulator Overview
What Does It Do?
Our simulator:
- creates an environment as close as possible to the real machine working on a mine site;
- teaches an operator the correct control procedures from safety, production and machine wear and tear perspectives;
- exposes the operator to various simulated events. Many of these events would be either too dangerous or difficult to test for real;
- records the operator's reactions together with the machine's vital operating information; and
- prints out an operator's detailed reports and logs or 'plays back' the operator's session to evaluate performance.
Intended training and/or testing uses include:
- pre-employment and contract staff assessment;
- machine operation;
- productivity skills;
- safety issues; and
- refresher testing.
