Immersive Technologies, the world’s leading supplier of operator training simulators used in the mining and earthmoving industries, has opened its new international headquarters in Perth, Western Australia.
The new head office, located at 40 Hasler Road, Osborne Park, is more than 50% larger than the company’s previous headquarters. It provides the company with an improved operating infrastructure and ability to continue its rapid expansion to support its growing global customer base.
This new office relocation complements the company’s recently expanded production facility at Malaga, also in Perth, during 2008, which provided the company with a 100% increase in production space.
“The decision to expand our headquarters and recently our production facility is driven by our commitment to provide unrivalled product quality and service to our global customer base,” said Immersive Technologies Chief Executive Officer, Peter Salfinger.
Winner of the much coveted Western Australian Premier’s Award for Excellence and the Education and Training Export Award, both in 2008, Immersive Technologies’ simulator solutions are increasingly being deployed by mining companies and contractors to counter current global economic challenges.
“These new premises will assist Immersive Technologies to meet the growing demand for our Advanced Equipment (AE) Simulator training solutions, and better support our customers well into the future. These advancements move us closer to reaching our goal of making every mining and heavy equipment operator safer and their employer more profitable with our training technology,” said Salfinger.
Immersive Technologies has sales and support facilities in Salt Lake City USA, Santiago Chile, Johannesburg South Africa, together with Brisbane and Perth Australia. Its sales have seen positive annual growth for the last five years, with more than 450 AE Simulator modules now deployed in over 25 countries.
