Queensland Mining Expo 2002

August 2002

The QME 2002 Expo ran from July 23rd to July 25th 2002 in Mackay, Australia. Our stand was very busy with crowds often ten deep as they viewed the truck simulation. The Dump Truck Simulated was a Caterpillar C Series (T3) Conversion Kit®. This Kit covers the 785C, 789C, 793C and the all new 797.

The floor to ceiling screens combined with 180 degree field of vision, created an environment as close to the real thing as possible. All visitors were impressed with the realism and the attention to detail offered by an Immersive Technologies Advanced Equipment Simulator.

The use of actual machine parts and the correct functioning of all these switches, VIMS, levers etc, added to the realism. All our Conversion Kits® replicate all functions found on the actual machines.

For those who were able to secure a trial in the driver's seat, they were rewarded at the end of their cycle, with a printout detailing their performance. This printout showed all errors with points allocated and the time taken to complete all tasks. These reports provide the operator and trainer with data to enable accurate and focused training programs.
