Queensland Mining Expo 2002
June 2002
Immersive Technologies in conjunction with the Central Queensland T.A.F.E. (CQIT) will be demonstrating the Advanced Equipment Series 2 Operator Training Simulator at the Queensland Mining Expo.
This is Queensland's premier event for mining products and senior mining personnel are planning to visit from around Australia. Overseas visitors will also attend this expo as they have done in previous years.
The Expo runs from July 23rd to July 25th 2002 in Mackay, Australia.
Mackay is central to the large Scale Coal mines of the Bowen Basin and the numerous gold mines and precious metal mines in Queensland, including Mt Isa Mines.
The Simulator demonstration will include Dump Trucks with a Caterpillar C Series (T3) Conversion Kit®, and an Excavator/Shovel Conversion Kit® (E5) configured as a Caterpillar® 5230 Excavator.
The floor to ceiling screens combined with 180 degree field of vision, create an environment as close to the real thing as possible.
Mr Rod Ramsay from CQIT, who manage the Simulator, has found it to be an excellent training tool. The Queensland D.E.T.I.R. (Department of Employment Training and Industrial Relations) has the AES Series 2 on a long term hire agreement.
If you would like to organise a time to test the realism created by the Simulator then please contact us prior to the event.
We will be on stand 9143.
