Immersive Technologies Mining Simulators
While the huge MINEXPO in Las Vegas was on, Caterpillar Inc. had another show of its own under way. Numerous plane flights shuttled over 1400 VIP mining guests from Las Vegas to Tucson Arizona, for the day. These guests were exposed to new technologies and an impressive demonstration of Caterpillar equipment, including the new 797 Truck at CAT's proving grounds. Arguably the most popular product on display was CAT's new Truck Simulator - made by Immersive Technologies. A steady flow of VIP's tested their ability to operate the advanced training system.
